Dunbar's only AA Silver & Rosette Awarded hotel confirmed

We are absolutely thrilled to share that, following an unannounced overnight AA inspection, we have proudly reaffirmed our position as Dunbar’s leading 3-star hotel. We remain the only hotel in the area to hold a prestigious 3★ Silver Award—and the icing on the cake is the retention of our AA Rosette for culinary excellence.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our Head Chef, Daryll, and his talented team, along with every member of staff who contributes daily to the smooth and successful running of the hotel.

Our inspector, Martin, noted in his review:

“The small, hands-on team displayed genuine warmth and wonderful hospitality from the very start. When making the reservation, Lesley engaged in friendly conversation alongside the necessary booking details. On arrival, the welcome was relaxed and welcoming, setting the tone for the entire stay. The team clearly take their lead from Lesley and Philip, who set high standards for hospitality—something that is great to see. A strong confidence is evident, with staff engaging guests in natural, friendly conversation that truly enhances the overall experience. The same high standards observed at dinner continued through to breakfast, and again at reception when it was, sadly, time to leave.”
