When you visit the Dunmuir Hotels website and make a booking, buy a gift voucher or register to receive our email newsletters, then there is a certain amount of information that we will collect from you, including your name, your email address, your phone number, your home address and your credit/debit card details.

When you arrive on our website, we may also register anonymously how you are browsing the website. We may also gather information you post through the online enquiry form to use in customer services, in hotel training, to improve the service we provide or furnish you with a relevant proposal.

COOKIES AND DEVICE INFORMATION
When you visit our site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

- “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.

- “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

- “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

USE OF INFORMATION
When you make a booking through the Dunmuir Hotels website, your information will be used to guarantee your reservation and enable us to follow-up with communications relating to your stay, for example a pre-stay email or a post-stay feedback survey.

When you sign-up to email newsletter list, you will immediately start to receive promotional and news emails from the Dunmuir Hotel which you can unsubscribe from at any time.

When submitting an online request for pricing for an event, wedding or meeting, we will ask you to provide a telephone number to allow us to follow-up with you and get any more information from you that we need.  If you do not wish us to contact you by telephone, you can select “email” as the best contact method and request that we don’t call you as part of your enquiry.

If you post some feedback through the website specific to a stay or an experience that you’ve had with the Dunmuir Hotel, we will want to address this directly with you. We will share this information amongst our team members and follow this up as quickly as possible to ensure we continue to give you excellent service.

To measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns and ensure they are relevant to you, we may anonymously collect information on your browser activity whilst on the Dunmuir Hotels website, monitoring your interests and searches, which we may use to improve the overall digital journey. You can use your Internet Help Bar to find out how to switch off cookies but it is strongly advised that you keep them switched on as it may stop you being able to carry out other transactional purchases on the Dunmuir Hotels website.

We may ask your permission to use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Performing market research via surveys to better serve your needs.
  • Improve the effectiveness of our web site, your hotel experience, our various types of communications, advertising campaigns, and/or promotional activities.

We may also analyse personal data we process for the above-mentioned purposes to better understand our customers’ needs, improve our services and the way we operate. The outcome of such analysis will only be aggregate data that will not to be used to identify, single out, or take action towards an individual, but only to analyse trends and other behaviour in order to improve our overall guest experience.

In the unlikely event that the hotel is sold, then your information may be disclosed to another third party.

We do not generally collect sensitive information unless it is volunteered by you. We may use health data provided by you to serve you better and meet your particular needs (for example, the provision of disability access).
