Opening times

The hotel and Restaurant are open to residents everyday we are only from Christmas Day early early January. (Please contact us directly for the latest opening hours for the Grill - the Grill is closed on a Wednesday)

Are you open 24hours

The hotel is not have a night porter we have Duty Manager who sleeps in. So if you are looking to arrive after 11pm please contact us so we can ensure that we are around to welcome you. For late arrivals we can arrange for a key to be place in a lock box and directions to your room - please contact us to arrange this. 

Table Reservations?

Table Reservations for lunch and dinner are advised. If you are staying we would still advise booking a table. (We cannot guarantee a table if you have not booked with us)

Is the hotel able to hold a celebration of life or private event?

The grill restaurant is ideal for numbers of up to 50 people and we have "Celebration of life" packages available.  We can also look after larger groups in the restaurant. Please contact us for more information. For large groups we take a £10 per person deposit to secure the booking.

Dress Code

We don’t operate a dress code, but please leave those muddy boots at the front door….

Children

Children of all ages are welcome. High Chairs are available on Request.

Do you have Children Menus?

Yes we do and if you have a specific requirement please contact us and we will do all we can to help.

Is the hotel Dog friendly? 

Yes we are. Dogs are allowed in all the Guest Rooms, Hotel Lobby and Bar and Restaurant. You can dine with your 4 legged friend in the restaurant. A small charge of £10 is simply applied to your account.

Does the hotel have car-parking? 

Yes we do around 20 spaces – but there is also parking on the street we are in a Residential Area. (Please note we have 1 accessible space and the car-park is gravel chips)

Does the hotel and Accessible Rooms?

Yes we have two a Superior King/Twin Room with walk in shower or a Classic Double on the ground floor with fully equipped wet room (We can put shower stools into the bathrooms on request) . (Please be aware an mobility scooter may not fit into the room). We also have 4 Ground Floor Classic Rooms with walk in showers.

Do you have Family Rooms?

No not as such – but we can offer a Twin and Double next door to each other or place a Z bed in the room. (Please note the Z bed is not for a teenager or adult) We do have 2 Classic Rooms that have adjourning doors that can be opened - (1 a Double and 1 a Twin)

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

Yes we do and we code our menus to help as well….just let us know in advance and we can prepare a selection of options.

Are you close to the Beach?

Yes – 5 minutes turn right out of our Front door.

Do you have a lift?

We don’t have lift and our rooms are over 2 floors. We have lower ground floor and two floors in the old house part of the hotel all reached by stairs. We are delighted to offer assist with any luggage

Do you have a Deaf Guard & Hearing Loop?

Yes we do it is at reception and please ask on booking we will place it in your room for your arrival.

Do you offer Room Service?

We offer room-service for breakfast and dinner from our main grill menu.

Do you have WIFI?

Yes we have throughout the hotel.

Are you close to Broxmouth and Dunglass Estates?

Yes, we are the closest hotel in Dunbar to both of these amazing venues

Do you welcome Motorbikes?

We are bike friendly and have off street parking - please not the car-park is stone chips.

What are you doing towards Net Zero / carbon management? 

Working East Lothian Council & Stirton Consulting Ltd  the hotel has a its first Carbon Management plan. Using Green Energy, Solar panels and various local initiatives we are working on our baseline for the future and reducing our Carbon footprint. (See our news section for more information)

Do you offer commission on bookings for Agents or similar? 

We don't don't offer commission on bookings, we are sorry we are only a small family hotel, we can mask rates for tour groups if you have them package up - please let us know when finalizing the booking.
